ASAP start 3x12 or 4x12 need is mostly days but must be willing to rotate days and nights pay rate for 36 hrs: $35 pay rate for 48 hrs: $42.25 Inpatient Behavioral Health (BH) RN Shift: 1 designated full time day shift **Charting: EPIC is preferred. Training will be provided at Benefis during orientation if needed Minimum years of exp: 1 year experience in the Inpatient BH setting Certs: BLS (manage of aggressive behavior) No floating Travel exp required: Yes – 1 year Ratio: 1:3; 1:5 7 acute stabilization beds (suicidal, homicidal or psychotic, in acute unit that is locked, nurses do go in and interact with patients) 11 intermediate beds Patients who are safety risk; rooms are video monitored Mental health tech on staff Acute crisis stabilization type unit No physical restraints: (must have experience with chemical restraints) Scrub color: navy blue Culture: small unit- smaller close nit group -holistic model, mind body spirit in specific to BH – inspire to ensure nursing is engaged and required to interview and evaluate- direct patient interaction- lot of observation and documentation heavy Robust shared governance – communicate collaborate- deescalate - strong communication skills required Rules that will take a little to get used to – visitors can’t come in – safe unit Multidisciplinary team – lot of support for day shift
