Shift: 12 hours, nights

12h Nights • Level II NICU – 5 beds • Will be expected to perform postpartum and transition Minimum Experience Requirements: One year experience preferred Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty Float Requirements: -Floating may be required to any CommonSpirit location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or CommonSpirit-identified “float zone”. -Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements (including skill set) in accordance with CommonSpirit policy. • Staffing is dependent on census- o If there are zero NICU babies in house, there is one NICU RN on. NICU travelers either function in the transition role or take a well-baby assignment. o If there are any babies, there are a minimum of two RNs. o If there are 1-2 babies in the NICU, one NICU nurse will be staffed in the NICU, the second will be on L&D functioning in the TSN/PP role. o If there are 3-5 babies in the NICU, both NICU nurses are in the NICU • The NICU unit sits inside the Labor and Delivery unit that is only separated by a door. • There is an APP (NNP, PA, or Pediatric Hospitalist) in house 24/7. On call requirement: 2-12 hour shifts per month • If RN is low censused, the RN will remain on call and be available to come in should the census change
