Shift: 10 hours, evenings

Required Education: -High School Diploma or GED is required. Required Certifications & Licensure: -BLS - American Heart Association. Required Skills & Experience: -Cleans, checks, restocks, prepares and maintains all anesthesia equipment and supplies foreach surgical case. Ensures anesthesia machines are in surgical suites. Adds specialty equipment and supplies to suite set-ups. Assists in troubleshooting of equipment. Works closely with Biomed to resolve issues with equipment. -Partners with scheduler and unit management team to anticipate special needs of each anesthesiologist. Responds immediately to requests from the anesthesiologists during cases. -Assists the anesthesiologists in surgical suites as needed, especially during emergencies, difficult intubations, and traumas. -Assists in room turnover and prepares anesthesia equipment for next case. Restocks anesthesia supplies in sterile processing department as needed. Collaborates with other care site staff/departments to support anesthesia supply ordering and inventory. -Assists in general cleanup in Perioperative Services. -Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards. -Performs other duties as assigned. -May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. -May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Preferred Skills & Experience: -One year clinical experience in an accredited hospital is preferred. -Understanding of medical terminology is preferred. -To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. -The requirements list must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required. -Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. -Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required. -Ability to work nights and/or weekends is required for identified positions.
