Responsibilities: Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: Deliver nursing care to a diverse patient population, including both Medical-Surgical and Surgical Oncology patients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the care continuum. Collaborate with Inter-Professional Team: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s medical condition and surgical recovery. Demonstrate Clinical Competency: Utilize the full scope of nursing knowledge and expertise, providing evidence-based care while maintaining competency in clinical skills, including age and population-specific standards for patients in both the Med-Surg and Oncology settings. Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly assess patient conditions, monitoring vital signs, lab results, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Administer Treatments and Medications: Safely administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and other treatments, while closely monitoring patients for side effects or complications, particularly for those undergoing cancer treatments or post-surgical recovery. Operate Specialized Equipment: Utilize and maintain medical equipment specific to the unit, including infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other tools used in the care of Med-Surg and Surgical Oncology patients, ensuring proper function and safety. 📋 Required Qualifications: ✅ Current North Dakota State or Compact RN License 🩺 Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association) 🏥 Experience in a Level II Trauma Hospital ⏳ Over 2 Years of Med-Surg Experience *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
