Travel Nurse Position Overview: Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro/Intermediate Care Facility: Prisma Health (Specific location not provided) Shift: Night Shift (4x12-Hour, 19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: 36-48 hours per week (facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks) Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 3 weeks from signed contract Orientation: Weekly (every Monday) Facility and Location: Hospital System: Prisma Health Charting System: EPIC Parking: Free Parking at the facility Unit Details: Specialty: Neuro/Intermediate Care (includes patients with neuro conditions, arrhythmias, and other medical conditions) Float Requirement: Travelers may be required to float to like units depending on census/volume. Patient Population: Intermediate Neuro patients Shift Requirements: 4x12-hour nights (some flexibility between 36-48 hours per week) Certification and Experience Requirements: Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA) BLS (AHA) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Med and arrhythmia exams (specific to the unit’s needs) Required Experience: 1+ year of recent experience in a similar neuro/intermediate care unit. 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR (electronic medical records) required. Additional Requirements: Active SC License or Multistate Compact License required. Travel Eligibility: Locals Accepted: Yes, if the traveler is 50+ miles away for night shift (or 100+ miles for other shifts). RTO Restrictions: All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application. Approvals are based on facility needs. Holiday Requirements: Must work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day). Calling out on a holiday may result in immediate termination. Travelers are also not permitted to request time off from December 26-31. Pending Licenses: Not accepted.
