**need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo.; 1 w/in 3 years worked Modules are required to be done before start (a few hrs) For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed** Med Sol prescreens, auto offer. Unit has 24 hrs to rescind offer---- ***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH UNA IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. PLEASE NOTE IT’S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS (TEST "A" SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FIRST AND IF NOT PASSED, TEST "B" SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FOR THE RETAKE). A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS ALSO REQUIRED. Unit ER/ED Non-trauma, Stroke Receiving # Beds/Trauma Bays 29 beds Do you have a Fast Track: Yes - 8 beds We have a triage area. Travelers are not assigned to this area. ER holds are intermixed with ER patients. Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? Our dept does not have a locked down unit. We primarily house our psych population in room 7-16, 29 as this is closer to where the Security is posted in the ED. Is Security in-house 24/7? Housed in the ER? Yes, they are posted in the psych area and at the Main ED Entrance. On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day? 160-220 visits a day Nurse: Patient Ratios: ICU Pt - 1:1 or 1:2. All other ED Pt - 1:4 Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Common diagnoses/Types of patients CP r/o MI, SOB, Sepsis. CP are stabilized and transferred. 5-13 psych holds per day. Case Management holds typically stay for 2-5 days Must have skills: Previous ER experience (2 year preferred) Common drips? Insulin, Nitro, Norepi, Heparin, Diltiazem ED Physician/Mid-Levels: Yes (PA &; NP) Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Charge Nurse: generally does not take patients, but will assist with break relief when needed Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? ED Techs and BH Safety Attendants. ED Technicians perform EKGs as well as vitals and patient care. Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG, breathing Tx,; EKG? Yes, RT completes ABG, & breathing treatments. ED Techs and EDRN complete EKG. Must read & interpret strips X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Yes Possibility to float to other Sac facilities Navy scrubs
