Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if greater than 1 year of experience
1st time traveler MUST have EPIC experience
Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler
Patient Types:
This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg please ensure traveler understands
Surgical: Urology, prostatectomy, bowel obstruction, mass removal, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, general abdominal surgeries
Ortho: Total joints (knees/hips/shoulders), Ortho Trauma External fixation, soft tissue injury and minor fractures
Neuro/Spine:
CVA/TIA with Neuro Vascular Intervention coiling, clipping, potentially thrombectomy (may go to ICU but if they are stable could come back to ONS) modified ratios with this patient (CRN/flex RN will help to manage in immediate post-op)
Seizures/Epilepsy, brain tumor, hematoma, brain aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation, AV Fistula, craniotomies with burr holes and/or shunts, Halos, Flaps
