Additional Information: Position Description: 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. ICU, ER and Medsurg 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Mindray cardiac monitoring, Drager Ventilator CPSI documentation system-will train 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. ICU and ER background withgeneral medical and surgical patients with occasional ortho, including : cardiac drips, vasopressor drips, nitro drips, ventilator experience, major surgical experience, knowledge of elderly care with several co-morbidities, pediatric care would be beneficial, care of epidural patients, cardioversion with conscious sedation Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Critical thinking skills with experience in assessment of critical care patient, ability to recognize subtle changes to patient assessments, strong communication skills with physicians and team members, knowledgeable of cardiac rhythms, ability to follow comprehensive protocols , responsible for running code blues within ICU/Med/Surgical until physician arrival Essential duties/tasks of the position: bedside patient care, working with multiple members of a critical care team 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) ACLS, BLS, PALS SD or compact nursing license
