Shift Breakdown: 5x8 hrs

Schedule: Friday-Monday 6:00am-4:30pm Location: Athens, GA 30606 Duration: 6-month Contract to permanent PR: $25.73/hr - $42.00 Day-to-Day: Independently performs laboratory procedures for which the technologist has been trained and demonstrated competency. Independently performs laboratory testing on patients of all ages using professional knowledge of laboratory procedures, executing, interpreting and/or analyzing, in an accurate and timely manner. Qualifications: • Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts) o Needs to either have taken the general exam or micro exam- had a candidate that just had chem and wasn’t a fit! • Comfortable with multitasking, strong with time management and an independent worker • Experience with EPIC • Microbio MT experience (if they only have this experience in school, gauge their interest in it!) • Molecular testing experience • Set up and plate reading experience Plusses: • Experience with: o Cepheid Infinity o BioFire torch o Hologic Panther o MicroScan o Maldi-tof technology Notes about Piedmont and this team: • This team has amazing rapport and the only reason they have an opening is bc someone is retiring • Most of the role will be stationed in the lab- could be on your feet all day from time to time • There is a shift diff on the weekends (it is $1.50)
