Position: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CVPICU/CTICU) Nurse Location: California (specific facility not mentioned) Contract Duration: 8 weeks Shift Options: Night shifts: 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) Day shifts: 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Key Requirements Licensure: Current California RN License Experience: Minimum of 2 years of CVPICU/CTICU experience. Pediatric cardiac experience is mandatory (heart transplant experience is a must). Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation. Certifications: BLS PALS Unit Details Patient Population: 30-37 beds, focusing on post-op cardiac surgical care, congenital heart disease, acquired heart disease, heart transplantation, VADs, and ECMO. Patients range from neonatal to 23 years old. Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:2 Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat nights for nights or Sat/Sun for days). Additional Notes Floating: Willingness to float between units (infrequent but possible) to PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, and medical behavioral unit.
