Shift: 07:00 AM-05:30 PM Description: Could be 4x10 or 5x8. Call is on call for two days a week 5p (or from the end of their shift) to 7p, and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 3 weekends. Weekend call is for 24 hours/day. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, responsible for assisting surgeon in lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure. Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required. Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required. ACLS and CNOR certifications required. Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN required. Five (5) years diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency required. Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or American Red Cross required.
