Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Albany GA Job Type: Contract Department: Med Surg Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department (ED) team. The RN will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive nursing services to individuals experiencing a wide range of acute medical conditions. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on patient needs and best practices. Provide direct care to patients in emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and other critical conditions. Assessment & Triage: Conduct rapid assessments of incoming patients to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for adverse effects. Document all medications given, as well as responses and side effects. Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care. Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Emergency Procedures: Be proficient in emergency interventions, including CPR, defibrillation, and managing airway emergencies. Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Compliance: Ensure compliance with hospital and department protocols, as well as regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA). Patient Advocacy: Advocate for the health and well-being of patients and ensure patient safety at all times. Qualifications: Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). License: Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of [Insert State]. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
