***Requirements & Qualifications: Work Schedule: • Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in science. • Current NYS license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Histotechnologist (HTL). • 1+ years of grossing experience preferred. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate gross description, dissection, and processing of biopsies, routine, and moderate complexity tissue specimens following established protocols. • Work under the direct supervision of the Pathologist and/or Pathology Supervisor. • Participate in limited technical activities of the Pathology department as needed, including: o Accessioning, staining, and cover slipping. o Routine maintenance. o Cytology specimen preparation.
