Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: We are a mid-size general department with 24/7 coverage. Our caseload mainly consists of general abdominal, small parts, and ob/gyn (mostly 1st trimester and 3rd trimester for biophysical and growth scans), with many procedures during the day. We also see many pediatric and neonate patients for exams like the appendix, intussusception, spines and cranials. Our overnight shift caseload widely varies from 4-12, majority of those being ER exams. PACS and Portables required. Ratio / Census: 4 rooms; 40-60 patients in a 24 hour period Unit Systems: Epic, Siemens, Pyxis and SBAR Scrub Color: Any RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Not specified Floating: No Call Requirements: No Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: New Year’s Eve and Day: Sunday, December 31 & Monday, January 1 Memorial Day: Monday, May 27 Independence Day: Thursday, July 4 Labor Day: Monday, September 2 Thanksgiving/Black Friday: Thursday, November 28 & Friday November 29 Christmas Eve and Day: Sunday, December 24 & Monday, December 25 Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
