Job Title: School Psychologist Location: Ewen, MI Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: The Ewen-Trout Creek School District is seeking a qualified and compassionate School Psychologist to support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs. The School Psychologist will conduct evaluations, provide counseling, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized intervention plans. This role is critical in fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' learning, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing academic, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and implement effective interventions. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, offering expert recommendations on student support strategies. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary. Provide consultation and training to school staff on behavior management and mental health best practices. Promote positive mental health and a supportive school climate through school-wide initiatives. Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Valid Michigan certification/licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working in a school setting preferred. Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, counseling techniques, and intervention strategies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
