Job Description: The Registered Nurse provides high-quality care to critically ill patients using the nursing process: Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, supervision of caregiving staff, developing and coordinating care plans, and applying critical thinking to achieve positive clinical outcomes. The role involves patient education, discharge planning, and participation in quality and process improvement initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Deliver competent, evidence-based care and achieve quality outcomes. Lead nursing functions, organize and direct care, and collaborate with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality of medical records. Support emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being of patients and families. Educate patients, families, and staff; contribute to orientation and professional development. Participate in quality improvement and financial stewardship efforts. Comply with safety standards and policies, handle stress, and manage hazardous conditions. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Current RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan BLS Certification from the American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: BSN Experience in critical care Basic proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft applications
