3+ Years of Recent PCU or Stepdown experience
Vent Experience - the vented patients on this unit will be lower acuity than ICU, but the RNs should still be able to care for them
Trach management
Heavy patients with CHF, CRF, hemodialysis patients, electrolyte abnormalities
Experience with chest tubes and lumbar drains
Strong Drip Management
Care of MI, Cardiomyopathy, PCI, CVA Patients
Dopamine, Dobutamine, Amio, Cardizem, Heparin drip care and experience (no titrating on floor but will need to manage these gtts so must be knowledgeable and comfortable with them)
