Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Oakland City, IN Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: The Oakland City School District is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services to students. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students of all ages. This position requires collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans that address students' communication needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy. Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student communication goals both in and out of the classroom. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Participate in IEP meetings to discuss progress and recommend interventions. Provide training and consultation to teachers, staff, and parents on strategies to improve communication and language development. Stay current on best practices and developments in speech-language pathology. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid Indiana licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Experience working in a school setting or with children is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
