Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Sycamore, IL Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: The Sycamore School District is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide therapy services to students. The SLP will work with students who experience speech, language, and communication challenges. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students, while working closely with educators, administrators, and families to ensure students meet their communication goals. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Provide direct speech and language therapy in individual and group settings. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student communication development in both classroom and home environments. Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary. Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress and provide recommendations. Provide training and support to school staff and families on speech and language strategies. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid Illinois licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Experience working with school-aged children is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and in a team setting. I’m so excited to hear from you!
