Job Title: School Psychologist Location: Everett, MA Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: The Everett School District is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to support the emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of students. The School Psychologist will work with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to provide assessments, interventions, and counseling services. The ideal candidate will help develop and implement strategies to foster student growth, improve school climate, and ensure a positive and inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs. Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs. Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement plans for student success. Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings, providing insight and recommendations for students requiring special education services. Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed. Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on mental health, behavior management, and learning disabilities. Develop and support school-wide programs to promote a positive school climate and mental health awareness. Stay current with research, laws, and best practices in school psychology and special education. Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field. Valid Massachusetts certification as a School Psychologist. Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, and mental health support strategies. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and safe learning environment for all students.
