Position: OB Nurse (Labor & Delivery) Shift: Rotating Day/Night Shifts (Generally 12-hour shifts, occasional 8-hour shifts) Schedule: 36 hours per week, with 2 weekends every 6 weeks; extra weekends are optional Contract Duration: 91 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Location: 25-bed critical access hospital Duties: Work in Labor & Delivery, post-partum, the nursery, and Med-Surg Floating to Med-Surg patients when OB census is low Procedures may include delivery, couplet care, antepartum, postpartum Equipment Utilized: EPIC charting Omnicell Philips monitors Fetal monitors Panda warmers Giraffe Hearing screener Plum IV pumps with smart library Required Skills and Experience: 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, couplet care, antepartum, and postpartum Experience in Med-Surg is a plus Floating to other units may be required Licensures and Certifications: MN State RN License BLS ACLS NRP Fetal Monitoring Certificate Additional Requirements: Willingness to float to other departments if needed No call required OB nurses will not work alone Nurse to Patient Ratio: Labor & Delivery: AWHONN staffing guidelines Med-Surg: 1 nurse for 3-5 patients Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs Pale palette for shirts under scrubs
