Registered Nurse – Telemetry - Travel - (Tele RN)
StartDate: 12/30/2024 Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $2424.29 - $2671.67
UHS Hospitals Critical Care Traveler Float Pool Guidelines Working for UHS means working for a great team. Staff are committed to living our values by showing compassion, trust, respect, teamwork and innovation to the populations we serve. What to expect when joining our critical care traveler float pool - Staff will be asked to float between the Johnson City and Binghamton hospital campuses. - Critical care assignments will be taken in our 14 bed ICU, 16 bed CVICU, 6 bed medical ICU (Binghamton campus), 6 bed neuro and 5 bed surgical step down suites. - While working in our critical care areas nurses maintain a 1:2/ 1:3 acuity based nurse to patient ratio. - Stepdown ratios are 1:4. Floating Outside of Critical Care - When census or acuity drops, staff may be asked to float outside of the Critical Care setting. - If there is NOT an appropriate Critical Care Assignment, staff are assigned to a telemetry/medical units where a 1:4 ratio will be maintained. UHS does not have a holds/observation unit - If census is high patients may be held in our emergency departments. - These patents have been admitted and are under the care of an attending physician. - To care for these patients, float pool staff go to the emergency department and treat these patients as if they are on an inpatient unit. - Patients are critical care, and med/surge in nature and staff will not take greater than a 1:4 ratio. - Staff are NOT taking care of emergency room patients, inpatient holds only. Staff Support - All travel staff will report to the Nurse Manager of the Clinical Resource Office (CRO). - Schedules are published in four week increments (block scheduling will be limited based on hospital needs). - Daily assignments come from the CRO - Pay sheets will be signed by the CRO Nurse Manager We are excited to have you join the UHS family.
