Job Description:
Join Turn Key Health Clinics team providing patient care where the need is highest. We are a correctional healthcare provider with a regional focus on our clinics in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas Jails and Detention Centers. Our team oversees the day-to-day healthcare operations in facilities with inmate populations ranging from 25 to nearly 2,800 inmates. Location: Pulaski County Jail, Little Rock AR
The Nurse Educator provides clinical education and evaluation to nursing and patient care staff. Collaborates with medical practitioners to incorporate nursing processes into the plan of care for specialized groups of patients. Performs direct specialty nursing services to patients as required, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and related Turn Key Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

- Provides educational leadership to patients and care providers to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.
- Assists patients and caregivers with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care.
- Collaborates with medical providers, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.
- Initiates clinical skills development programs within the parameters of established clinical and orientation models; monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
- Provides direct specialized nursing services to an assigned group of patients, providing specialized patient care within nursing protocols and assisting in the performance of all related nursing duties.
- Develops patient care plans, incorporating evidenced-based research and national standards; consults with and serves as a clinical resource for unit management to ensure quality patient care.
- Educates technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in service training and workshops for appropriate staff.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Prepares and submits statistical data, monthly activity and annual reports to the Director of Nursing
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid, unrestricted RN license
- CQI experience or a high level of knowledge is necessary.
- Current CPR
- Ability to pass a background check.
