Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
- Valid state license or certification for Special Education Teaching
- Emotional Impairment Certification Preferred but not required
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Responsibilities:As a Special Education Teacher with The Stepping Stones Group, you will:
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and tools to enhance learning and engagement for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, families, and other professionals to promote student success and integration into broader educational settings
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
- Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, empathy, and self-confidence among students
