Position Details

Facility Information

• Opening: A brand new state-of-the-art facility opening in May 2025, the first freestanding cancer hospital in New Jersey.
• Work Environment: Clinicians will train and work in the main hospital before the center opens. The main hospital and Morris Cancer Center are connected by a pedestrian bridge.

Job Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Shifts: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Cases per Day: 5-10
• Weekend and Holiday Work: Required as applicable.
• On-Call Requirements: Maximum of 3 nights in a seven-day period from 5 PM to 7 AM.
• Scheduling: No block scheduling; locals accepted.

Licenses and Certifications

• NJ License: Required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required for certain units
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for certain units
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for certain units
  • Chemo Certification - specific to oncology roles
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - required for Labor & Delivery RNs
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgment
  • NIH Stroke Certification - required for specific units
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - required for ER, Peds ER, or Behavior Health RNs

Additional Information

• Scrub and Circulate: Required
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with sterile procedures, equipment setup, closure devices, EKOS, and GE and Phillips Angio Suites.
• Charting Systems: Experience with EPIC: Radiant and Q-site charting.
• Scrubs: Provided by the hospital.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within a year of start.
• TB Testing: Negative TB or Chest X-Ray required within 1 year of start.
• Flu Vaccination: Mandatory for all covered individuals unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.

Background and History Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• Work History Verification: Required for all candidates, including APN/SUB candidates.
