Job Description

• Radius Rule: Hospital will NOT accept travelers who live permanently within 50 miles of the facility, including Westchester County, Rockland County, and New York City.
• Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Floating: Will float to post-partum
• On-call: Occasional on-call if census drops
• Experience Required: 3 years
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • BLS (AHA only)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • PALS (AHA only for specific units)
• Skills Required:

  • Scrub, circulate, conscious sedation, FHM, triage
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Charting System: GE Centricity
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Communication System: SBAR
• Scrubs: Provided

Certifications and Documents Required

• Driver's License/State ID: Copy required
• Certifications:

  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
  • Tech Cert Verification (if applicable)
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • NURSYS Verification (if applicable)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam (within 1 year)
  • Fit Mask (annual N95 fit testing)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year)
  • Drug Testing (10 panel within 3 months)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (fully vaccinated required)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (during flu season)
• Background Check: 7-year criminal check within 3 months
• References: 2 professional references required within 7 years
• Work History Verification: Required for all candidates
