Job Description

• Position available in the Step Down Unit.
• Agency staff may be required to float to other units or campuses as needed, but only to units they are qualified for.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience required.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS: Required for various units including RRT, CRT, Telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, Pediatric ER, all adult ICU units, CCU, Stepdown, PCU, LTACH, PACU, Cath/IR, Endoscopy, L&D, Observation Unit, and LDRP RN travelers. Certification must not expire within 30 days of start.
  • BLS: AHA, RQI, and ARC only. Must not expire within 30 days of start.
  • PALS: Required for Pediatric Units, ER, and PACU. Certification must not expire within 30 days of start.
  • NRP: Required for NICU, L&D, and possibly RRTs. Must be AHA certified.
  • TNCC: Required for ER/ED and Pediatric ER travelers.
  • MAB or CPI: Required for ER/ED, Pediatric ER, and Behavioral Health RNs.
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required for various units including ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, SICU, MICU, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Stepdown, ER, Pediatric ER, PCU, PACU, Observation Unit, LTACH, Cath/IR, and Endoscopy.
  • IV Certification: Required for all LPN/LVN candidates.
  • State License Verification: Must show no pending action against the license.

Additional Information

• Floating Policy: All travelers must sign the floating policy.
• Background Check: A 7-year criminal check is required.
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam required.
  • TB testing required.
  • Vaccination documentation for Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
  • Drug screening required.
  • Flu vaccine documentation required for the 2024-2025 season.

Competencies

• Candidates must complete various competency exams and online modules prior to starting.
