Position Details

Unit Description

• Unit: 3S Intermediate Care Unit
• Bed Capacity: 8 IMC Beds / 10 Observation Beds
• Patient Population: Variety of medical patients including respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients.
• Patient Care: Capable of caring for telemetry patients with medical and surgical needs as well as the renal population.
• Orientation: Held every other week on Thursday.
• Staffing Ratios: 3:1 for IMCU / 4:1 for M/S.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience Required:

  • 2 years of RN experience
  • 1 year in specialty experience required
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - must be AHA certified
• License: WV/Compact RN License required (can submit with pending license but must have active license to start).
• First-timers accepted.
• Every other weekend required.

Skills Required

• Strong IMC and/or ICU experience
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Ventilator management

Additional Information

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week options (to be discussed with manager).
• Floating: RN can be floated within scope to meet facility needs when required.
• Block Schedule Requests: Open to accommodating requests (to be discussed in interview).
• RTO Restrictions: No restrictions; discuss requests during the interview.
