Position Overview

• Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN
• Experience Required: 3 years preferred; can consider candidates with 2 years of experience.
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Floating: Within the hospital is required; no floating to sister hospitals.

Patient Care Details

• Patient Population: Childbearing women and newborns, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Facility Level: High-risk Level 3 Perinatal center with approximately 150 births per month.
• NICU: Level 4 NICU, regional center.

Certifications Required

• BLS: Basic Life Support
• NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification may be required based on unit specifics.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Fit Mask Testing: Required within specified timeframes.
• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Flu vaccination documentation during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination tracking (not required but recommended)
• Background Check: 7-year criminal background check required.
• Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within a year of start.
