ER Magnet Level II Trauma Center
Fast-paced emergency department with 65,000 visits annually
36 beds including 8 express care beds
Certified comprehensive stroke center and 24/7 interventional cardiology
Magnet-designated facility

Requirements

Licensure: Active VA or Compact License in hand at submission
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant field

Additional Information

COVID-19 Vaccination: Possible requirement
Weekends: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (details to be discussed in the interview)
Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st). Medical or religious exemptions allowed with proper documentation.

Health and Safety Requirements

Pre-employment Physical: Required within a year of start
Fit Test: Required within the last 12 months
TB Testing: Negative PPD, Tspot, or QGold within 1 year of start
Drug Screening: Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Documentation and Compliance

Proof of I-9 or Attestation
Government-issued photo ID required
Background check and various health documents required prior to start
Completion of online orientation and various facility-specific documents

Competencies

Core competencies must be updated annually
Additional competencies may be required based on specific unit needs
