• Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 NIGHTS (7A-7P weekdays, every other weekend, float)

Unit Description

• Unit: 2E SVIMC/PCU
• Beds: 15
• Patient Population: Adult and pediatric surgical and vascular clients requiring close cardiac monitoring.
• Ratios: 1:3

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant setting
• Skills Required:

  • Cardiac Tele/Telemetry experience
  • Invasive line monitoring
  • Critical medication administration
  • Respiratory ventilation management
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Orientation: Held every other week on Thursday
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Can be floated within scope if needed
• RTO Restrictions: Limit holiday RTO requests to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays

• Physical Exam: Must be completed within 1 year of start
• Vaccinations: Tdap, Negative TB or Chest X-Ray, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella
• Fit Mask: Annual fit test required
