Job Description

• Required Qualifications:

  • California RN License
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
  • Experience administering chemotherapy (required)

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Charge Nurse experience
  • Telemetry experience
  • BMT/Cellular Therapy experience

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required (Academic Medical Center experience preferred)
  • Ability to float to other UCSF facilities
  • First-time travelers with relevant experience (3+ years in a teaching facility) will be considered

• 17 weeks

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP)
• Chemotherapy Certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)

Competencies Required

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Unit Specific Competency Exam
• Core Parts I, II, III Competencies

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
• Fit Mask (within 1 year of start)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap Vaccine (within 10 years)
• Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray
• Drug Testing (standard 9 panel)
• Flu Vaccine or Declination (by 11/1/2024)
• COVID-19 Vaccination Documentation

Background Check

• 7-year criminal check required within 30 days of start

References

• Two supervisory references required from the most recent place of employment
