Job Description

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 3-4 weeks out
• Experience Required: 1.5+ years
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Work 75% of the holidays during the contract period
• Floating Requirement: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Patient Ratios

• 5-6 patients per nurse

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Special Requirements

• Flu vaccine
• EPIC experience
• Level 1 trauma experience or Level 2 with travel experience
• No recent Atrium employees (including PRN and internal temp) within the past year
• No recent return travelers who have lived locally

Additional Information

• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles
• Pending License: Accepted
• RTO Restrictions: Every other holiday
• First-timers: Accepted

Compliance Requirements

• Documentation:

  • NC Driver's License must list an address greater than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Residency Declaration Form if using a compact license that is not NC.
  • Various certifications must be current and valid.
  • Background check and education verification required prior to start.

Health Documents

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• TB Questionnaire
• Vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
• 9 Panel Drug Screen required within a year of start
• Flu vaccination documentation required for the flu season

Background Check

• 7-year criminal comprehensive background check required within 45 days of start.
