Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 3x12 Nights (1900 - 0700)
  • Floating: Required
  • Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 2 years in Critical Care Unit (CCU)
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Multi-system organ failure management
    • Obtain 12 lead EKG
    • ECMO and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
    • Sheath removal and management of Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD)
    • IV insulin protocols and management of chronic/acute renal failure
    • CVVHD/CRRT, accessing ports, arterial line management
    • Blood product administration and central line care/management
    • Starting IVs and administering emergency medications
    • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
    • Management of CVA/acute stroke, ICP monitoring
    • Assist with BiPAP, CPAP, chest tube insertion/removal
    • Care of ventilated patients and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
    • Interpretation of ABGs and suctioning (ETT, NT)
    • Infection prevention and isolation precautions
    • Phlebotomy and care of surgical wounds with drains/Wound Vac

Requirements

  • Certifications:

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
    • Additional certifications may be required based on unit description (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC)
  • Health Documents:

    • Annual physical exam
    • N95 fit test
    • Vaccinations (e.g., Tdap, TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
    • Drug screen and background check
  • Other Requirements:

    • Valid driver's license (if driving is essential)
    • Flu vaccination required
    • I9/E-Verify attestation

Additional Information

  • Scrub Color: Navy blue or navy blue bottoms with white top (not provided)
  • Facility-Specific Documents: Various documents required upon hire, including drug screen attestation and background check attestation.
