Position Details

  • Specialty: RN PCU

  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Credentials and Health History

  1. MMR Vaccination:

    • Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer. No declinations accepted.
    • If negative titer, administer two doses of MMR vaccine, four weeks apart.
  2. Fit Test:

    • Required for all travelers. Preferred to be completed prior to start, can be completed onsite.
  3. Hepatitis B:

    • Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  4. Influenza Vaccine:

    • Required for flu season (October 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025). Exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
  5. PPD/TB Testing:

    • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required.
  6. Varicella:

    • Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines or serological evidence of immunity.
  7. Tdap:

    • Must not be expired and must match address on file.
  8. Health Statement:

    • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment.
  9. Driver's License/State ID:

    • Must match address on file.
  10. Ascension Skills Checklist:

    • Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start.
  11. Drug Screen:

    • 12 panel drug screen required within 30 days prior to start.
  12. BLS Certification:

    • Must be AHA certified.
  13. Nursys Verification:

    • Verification within 30 days prior to start.
  14. License/Certificate Verification:

    • Current license verification required.
  15. Education Verification:

    • Verification of education relevant to clinical work.
  16. Professional References:

    • At least two professional references required.
  17. Criminal Background Check:

    • Must be completed within 30 days of first assignment.
  18. Core Competencies:

    • HIPAA, Joint Commission - NPSG, OSHA topics training required.
  19. Ascension Confirmation of Assignment:

    • Must be provided upon initial assignment and updated upon each extension.

Additional Information

  • Onboarding Requirements:
    • Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding and other pre-hire modules required.
  • Exit Survey:
    • To be completed within 72 hours at the end of the assignment.
