Job Description
- Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 (RN's choice)
- Department: Emergency Department (ED)
- Patient Ratios: Average 1:6 for both days and nights
- Experience Required: Preferred 2 years; will accept 1.5 years from a similar hospital
- First-Timers Accepted: No
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: No
- Floating: Clinicians may float within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Schedule: Open to accommodating
- Pending License Accepted: Yes
- RTO Restrictions: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
- Special Requirements: Assigned to one campus with the possibility of rotating to other campuses. Travelers do not work in trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units.

- CPI: Crisis Prevention Institute (for Psychiatrics/Behavioral Health)
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start
- Fit Test: Required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- TB Testing: Negative 2 PPDs or Qgold/Tspot within specified timeframes
- Vaccinations:
- Tdap within 10 years for specific units
- Flu vaccination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination series
- Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug screen required within 12 months, updated annually
- Background Check: 7 Year Criminal Background check required within 12 months, updated annually
Additional Information
- Training Modules: Various training modules required, including but not limited to:
- Patient Transportation with Oxygen
- Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment
- CLABSI Prevention
- Stroke Education
- EPIC Testing (if applicable)
