Job Description

• Position: RN Hospital, Cardiac Cath Lab
• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN, with at least 1 year in critical care and cardiovascular intervention.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day Shift with On-Call Rotation
• Call Frequency: 1-2 nights during the week and 1 weekend per month

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing techniques, policies, and state laws.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families at appropriate levels of understanding.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise to support patient care across units/departments.
• Manage complex situations and delegate appropriately, escalating issues as needed.
• Engage in personal development and support continuous learning opportunities.
• Participate in peer review and feedback opportunities.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 3 years of RN experience with 1 year of critical care experience required.
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required.

Certification and Licensure

• Current Wisconsin RN licensure.
• Current CPR certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Must successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation.
• National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
