• Ratios: 8:1 days; 13:1 nights

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: Home Health or Long Term Care experience preferred; travel experience is also preferred.
• Epic Experience: 1 year of Epic experience preferred.
• First-Timers Accepted: Yes

Certification Requirements

• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • IV Insertion
  • PICC Lines
• Additional Certifications (preferred):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Chemo Certification (for Oncology)

Additional Details

• This is an LTC unit that functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg.
• The facility does not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc.
• The medication pass process is a hybrid between LTC and MedSurg.
• Epic has been modified for LTC, making charting labor-intensive.

Restrictions and Requirements

• Local Candidates: Not accepted.
• Pending License: Accepted, but candidates without an AK license must be booked 10-12 weeks out.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
• RTO Restrictions: No specific requirements around holidays, but travelers may be asked to work one holiday if present for more than one recognized holiday.
