  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
    Job details
  • Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center
  • 13 weeks
  • Every other weekend (Sat/Sun)
  • Primary Unit: PICU
  • Will float to Pediatrics, and NICU if needed for an appropriate assignment (Confirm floating with traveler)
  • There may be additional float units based on skill set and hospital needs
  • HARD STOP: Must have 2+ years of PICU critical care experience with 1 year of cardiac experience. Both must be documented on skills checklist
  • Must be competent to care for CT patients with ASD (arterial septal defect), VSD (ventricular septal defect), AV Canal Defect, Valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, TOF (Tetralogy of Fallot), s/p cardiac cath and ablations, cardiac transplant, post cardiac surgery
  • Medtronic pacemakers, Tele monitoring REQ
  • Experience in BIPAP/CPAP, vents, high flow nasal cannula, trachs REQ
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2+ (Confirm with traveler)
  • 19 beds on the unit
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • First time travelers are not accepted
  • Scrub color Navy Blue

  • TIME SENSITIVE, Driver’s license required to be provided within 48 hours of signing.

Their CEO, Diego is very down to earth and transparent. They will also pay for your certifications and RN license fees. You just show them the receipt and they are able to refund you on the next paycheck.
