Work Experience
Description
- BLS
- ARDMS or ARRT/Sonography certification in Abdomen required within one year
Certification details
- The Registered Ultrasound technologist will apply medical ultrasound to the patient in accordance with a doctor's order.
- Works within the scope of practice as defined by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and American Society Radiologic Technologists.
- Handles the movement, set-up and operation of medical ultrasound equipment.
- Provides patient assessment information to the Radiologist as needed.
- Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities.
Job details
- Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-year scanning experience in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular and Breast Ultrasound preferred.
- ARDMS or ARRT/Sonography certification in Abdomen required within one year.
- BLS required.
Job requirements
- Day shift including weekends but shift could vary.
- Shift is 7a-7p or 9a-9p but could vary.
