Description
**Overflow unit for winter census in ED Holding**
RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
12hr NIGHTS (Tuesday-Thursday schedule with occasional weekends)
FLOATING REQUIRED as needed to similar units. This unit may float to an ER holding unit.
Ratios: 1:6-7.
Patient Population: General Surgery and Medical Tele. Cardiac telemetry /medical telemetry. Various diagnosis requiring either medical intervention or surgical procedures. Including medical tele patients. Overflow for winter census. Daily Census= 18. PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.
Certifications Required: ACLS, BCLS, with NIH preferred.
Skills Required: IV Start and Telemetry.
Minimum Experience Required: 2 years or 1 year with travel exp.
Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler: Yes.
36hrs of Orientation.
Scrubs: Navy Blue.
