Job Duties
Positions are available for licensed RNs interested in caring for adult and/or geriatric patients with psychiatric/mental health issues. Shifts are available primarily on days. Evening, Night and weekend shifts are eligible for shift differential. Sign on Bonus available for new employees to the State of Virginia.
Work as part of a dedicated team that provides individualized, recovery-focused care. Utilizing knowledge and experience, successful candidates will provide individuals quality nursing care to adult and geriatric psychiatric patients in accordance with Hospital policy and procedure, and standards of nursing practice.
The successful candidates will evaluate, supervise, and provide performance guidance for staff. They will utilize nursing processes and knowledge in pharmacology, psychiatric disorders, as well as, physical, psychological and social needs when caring for our patients.
Located in a beautiful rural setting, only 20 minutes from downtown Roanoke or Salem. Extensive orientation and training provided that will ensure your success as a new member on our Nursing Team.
Any overtime worked will be paid at one and one-half times the regular hourly rate of pay.
* A fingerprint-based criminal history check will be required of the finalist candidate for the position under Va. Code 2.2-12-1.1
Minimum Qualifications
* Registered Nursing licensure or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
* Stable work history.
Additional Considerations
Psychiatric, mental health, or long-term care experience preferred.
