Description:
A Registered Nurse who is responsible for the nursing care of patients in the Critical Care setting guided by policies and procedures of the hospital.
Job Duties:
Conduct comprehensive and ongoing assessments of critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, lab results, and physical conditions.
Use advanced medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, cardiac monitors) to continuously assess patient status and detect changes in condition.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV drips, blood transfusions, and pain management, while monitoring for adverse effects.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and update individualized care plans for critically ill patients.
Respond rapidly to medical emergencies, including sudden changes in patient condition or life-threatening events.
Provide information on care processes, potential outcomes, and post-discharge care to patients and their families.
Experience Required:
Must have 2 years Critical Care experience.
Must have 1 year travel experience.
Education Required:
Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)
Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
Current California nursing license, or current multistate compact RN license.
