Description

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Standard shift: Days
Weekly schedule: 5x8
Schedule Notes: Holidays, Weekends, On Call, Call Back per unit needs. Vascular surgery coverage and call responsibilities
Description:
Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and consistently produces radiologic images of diagnostic quality.
Works cooperatively with all members of the department to resolve problems expediently.
Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers.
Demonstrates awareness of and sensitivity for patient’s rights in all interfaces with patients.
Demonstrates competency in the use of Hospital information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
Participates in hospital performance improvement activities (BPI projects, task forces, etc.) when warranted.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences (preferred)
Licensing/Certification:
NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start)
BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
VIR Certified-preferred Experience: Two (2) years’ experience
