Medical specialty: Med/Surg - Psychiatric Unit

Standard shift: Days/Evenings/Nights Rotational shift, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs.

Weekly schedule: 3x12

Job Description:
Great opportunity to become a member of a unique unit, only a handful of similar units in the country.
Adult medical/surgical unit for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues.
This expanding unit is looking for flexible, enthusiastic and committed nurses to help us grow.
Med/surg acute care experience a plus. Willingness to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment a must!
Nurses are eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after experience requirement attained.

Experience Required:
Two (2) Years Experience.
Psychology Experience Required.
Telemetry Experience required.

Education:
Required Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum Degree Required:
Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)

Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
BLS (American Heart Association only).
