Job Description
As a mammographer, also called a mammography technologist, you'll take X-ray images of patients' breasts for screening and diagnosis. Working in a hospital, clinic, imaging center or other radiology setting, you'll prepare and operate equipment, explain mammograms to patients, position patients' breasts for imaging and more. You'll play an important role in helping prevent and detect breast cancer.
Minimum Requirements- At least 1 year of recent experience as a mammographer
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license (if applicable)
