Located in southwest Texas, this 527-bed acute care facility is part of a large hospital chain. The medical center has a network of Centers of Excellence in pediatrics, cardiology, neuroscience, organ transplant, breast imaging, and bariatrics. General Information



Tell us about the unit(s):



· Number of Beds – Cover Rehab and if volume down then acute/outpatient



· Number of Staff – 2 full time PT’s



· Type of staff:



o Day Shift – 2 PT’s 2 PTA’s



o Night Shift – n/a



· Patient Ratios – 5-6 patient care hours in Rehab; 12-15 patients in acute, outpatient 6-7 patients



· Type of equipment – n/a



· EMR – Meditech





Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.



· Texas State License in Physical Therapy



· Inpatient Rehab Experience



Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.



· Bilingual preferred since heavy Hispanic population



·



List typical procedures performed on unit(s):



· PT evaluations, reassessment and treatments as needed for inpatient rehab



· Team conferences, family training, and home assessments



Best personality Fit:



· Energetic and able to handle the multiple personalities of the healthcare team and physicians

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.



· Scrub Color - Navy
