Description

RN Electrophysiology Per Diem Days Position Summary
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
· Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
· Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
· Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
· May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agency(ies), as required.
· Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
· This position will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring, assisting the physician scrubbing procedures and using the pacing stimulator.
Special Skills: Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure. Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures. Excellent customer service skills. Must have basic computer skills
*This position has assigned “late stay” call to finish scheduled procedures during the week. No call on nights, holidays or weekends.*
Shift: 6a-630p (12 hr Shifts)
THE RN EP LAB PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
PREFERRED EDUCATION: BSN
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath/ EP Lab experience preferred. Hemodynamics experience preferred.
Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
Strongly preferred expr in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: )
Certified as a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) is preferred
