Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
Basic Life Support Certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification

Job Summary

Operating Room nurse provide 1:1 patient care to patients before, during, and after surgery for cases including, but not limited to: General surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Endoscopy, GYN.
Provide direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations.
Demonstrates knowledge of anesthetic drugs, actions and side effects.
Demonstrates knowledge of arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, spinal and epidural catheters and how to document appropriately.
Performs Pre-op and Post-op patient care addressing the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment plan of care.
