Overview
Surgical Oncologist LCI
The Levine Cancer Institute and Division of Surgical Oncology, Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Surgeon with interest and training in breast care to join the Department of Surgery and the Levine Cancer Institute. Applicants should have a demonstrable interest in teaching and research. The Levine Cancer Institute cares for more than 10,000 cancer patients per year including over 1800 patients with breast cancer. The Soft Tissue section of the Division of Surgical Oncology consists of five surgeons caring for patients at three locations in the Charlotte metropolitan area.
The Levine Cancer Institute consists of 27 locations in North and South Carolina. Over 350 clinical trials are currently underway with more than 1000 publications in the last decade and ranked among the top 50 Cancer Centers on the US News and World Report list in 2020. Substantial philanthropic funding exists for the breast program with dedicated research resources. The Department of Surgery consists of 81 surgeons in 8 Divisions while the Division of Surgical Oncology is made up of 4 sections: Endocrine, Head and Neck, Gastrointestinal and Soft Tissue.
